I’ve been lucky to call Athens, Georgia home for the past 30 years. As a musician, I was originally drawn here for the music scene and the sense of community Athens emits. Oddly enough, while still in high school, it was on a ride through the Historic Boulevard Neighborhood on the way to play a show that I looked around at all the amazing older homes and thought to myself, “This is it. This is where I’m going to live”.
30 years later, with my amazing wife (Melissa), our two kids (Polly and Sam), two dogs (Coco and Drummer) and two cats (Ollie and Simba)…here we are!
I’ve been involved in real estate for the past 18 years, and I’ve been fortunate enough to help a great clientele with either moving to Athens for the first time, or passing along the homes they've loved so much to others. It’s a great feeling to have clients turn into friends. To learn about their families, hear their stories and understand where they’re heading-- it's what I enjoy most about this business. I've always looked at work throughout my life as a challenge to do things differently. To add something that others may not. To always go above and beyond what’s expected. To do these things with kindness and respect. This is my hope for every interaction you have with Sound Real Estate.

I love being able to call Athens home for the last 30 years. My family moved here when I was 4 years old and although I’ve moved around a lot, I’ve always had an anchor here thanks to them.
I met my husband, Matt Howels in New York City where I lived for 13 years. We shared a mutual passion for the arts, him being a blues guitarist and me being an actress. We decided to make the move down south to be closer to family in 2022. With Athens’ thriving music scene and the ever-rising rate of production, it was the perfect place for us to really plant some roots.
I started my journey with real estate on the administrative side in 2021 and quickly realized that I could find happiness and fulfillment in working hard to help people make their goals a reality. I’m so excited to continue my journey in this profession to connect people with their dream homes!
I honor authenticity and respect above all else.
On my downtime, I love running with my husband (we’re coming for you AthHalf!), my two cats (Ragu and Beets), traveling, reality TV, and I’ll go anywhere as long as it’s got good food!

My real estate career began in 2011 in Southeast Florida, where I called home the majority of my life until relocating to Athens in August to accompany my boyfriend as he attends law school at UGA. In Florida, I was fortunate to work under my dad (who owns an independent brokerage there) and have his professional knowledge and expertise to guide me while I kicked off my career. While the move to Athens both happened quickly and came at a strange time in our universe (hello COVID), I have loved exploring the area and seeing firsthand how much it offers its residents—amazing history and culture, vibrant food and creative arts scenes, access to a wide variety of outdoor activities and points of interest, and a true “small town” sense of community. I am thrilled to continue working in an industry I have enjoyed so much over the past 12 years, and I look forward to assisting my clients throughout every step of the process of their real estate decisions in this Classic City.
During my leisure hours, I can often be found doing something active—whether that be playing a friendly match of tennis (I was on the Vanderbilt women’s varsity team during my four collegiate years), hitting the trails for a hike or a run, or strengthening my mini-muscles at the gym (Fitness at Five is a gem). I also fancy myself a foodie (although my own cooking skills are admittedly mediocre at best), am a voracious reader and aspiring “writer,” have a tendency towards parenthetical sidenotes, and aspire to one day open a gin bar.
